Food and Shelter Resources

  • Bread Line, Inc. - serves daily meals through the Stone Soup Cafe, provides fresh produce to food insecure residents through the Community Garden

  • Fairbanks Community Food Bank - provides emergency food boxes and goods for individuals at or below federal poverty level 

  • Fairbanks Rescue Mission - offers emergency shelter and transitional housing programs for individuals experiencing homelessness

  • Fairbanks Salvation Army - provides shelter, meal assistance, employment, and thrift store

  • Fairbanks Youth Advocates - provides emergency shelter and supportive services for children 12-18 years old

  • Immaculate Conception Church Soup Kitchen - hot meals and bagged lunches Tuesday-Sunday 11 am-1 pm.

  • Interior Alaska Center for Non-Violent Living - housing and supportive programming available for victims of sexual and domestic violence

  • WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) - provides nutrition education and financial assistance for food to pregnant women, mothers, and children under age 5.

  • Alano Club of Fairbanks- offers social activities and 12-step meetings to individuals wishing to be alcohol free

  • Alaska Region of Narcotics Anonymous - offers 12-step substance abuse meetings to individuals seeking to stop using drugs 

  • Interior Medication Assisted Treatment - provides sliding scale medication assisted treatment to individuals seeking to stop using opioids

  • Fairbanks Alcoholics Anonymous- offers 12-step substance abuse meetings to individuals wishing to abstain from alcohol

  • Fresh Start - provides drug and alcohol abuse assessment, treatment, and education to adults and teenagers 

  • Pacific Rim Counseling- provides drug and alcohol abuse assessment, treatment, and group therapy to individuals suffering from substance abuse disorders

  • Recover Alaska - provides alcohol abuse assessment, education, early intervention, intensive outpatient treatment, partial hospitalization, medication, and inpatient treatment
